One of Wicklow Town’s well known landmarks- the anchors by the Black Castle- got a temporary makeover recently when they were ‘yarnbombed’ by the Wicklow Arts Festival. After the yarn team of Mary and Adele had worked their magic, the anchors looked bright and colourful in their new attire, and especially cosy too given the snowy weather!
This once off event was set up to give a taste of the community yarnbomb project ‘A Stitch in Time…Wicklow ‘s 400 year yarn’ which will be installed for the arts festival from 24th to 26th May.
